Narrative
FOND DU LAC CO., WI – A 4-year-old child sustained serious injuries Sunday evening in a wrong-way collision in northeast Fond du Lac County.
The accident happened near the intersection of County Road G and County Road GG, which is near St. Joe
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a southbound vehicle entered the northbound side of the roadway and crashed head-on into a northbound vehicle.
Medics airlifted a child passenger from the wrong-way vehicle to a Milwaukee hospital with head injuries.
The wrong-way driver and the two occupants of the second vehicle went to the hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities cited the wrong-way driver for failure to properly secure a child and for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
A full investigation is underway.
