Narrative
MASON CO., WV – A man died Tuesday evening from injuries sustained earlier that day when he was hit by a vehicle along the highway in west-central Mason County.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. on Route 2, or Ripley Road, near Norton Lane. This is just east of Point Pleasant.
Police say that Dennis Kay was walking towards Point Pleasant on Route 2 when a vehicle struck him.
Kay died at the scene.
Authorities haven’t shared any information regarding the driver involved in the crash. They’re not calling the incident a hit-and-run at this time.
