Narrative
LA VERGENE, TN – A wrong-way driver died Friday after her vehicle collided head-on with a semi in northwest Rutherford County.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on near mile marker 64 for I-24, which is in the city of La Vergne.
Police say that the victim’s westbound 2012 Dodge Avenger entered the eastbound side of the interstate and collided head-on with an eastbound 18-wheeler.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as 33-year-old Jennifer Larsson, died from injuries sustained in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
