Narrative
PORTLAND, OR – A motorcyclist went to the hospital Friday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident at a busy Portland intersection.
The crash occurred just after midnight at the intersection of Southeast 65th Avenue and Southeast Harney Street, which is just west of Harney City Park.
Police say the 43-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Joel David Hunter, was speeding when he failed to heed a stop sign and collided with another vehicle.
Hunter sustained serious injuries in the crash. Authorities cited him for careless driving.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
