MERRIMACK, NH – One person was airlifted to an area hospital Friday after a fiery solo crash along Everett Turnpike.
The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. in the city of Merrimack, which is about 11 miles south of Manchester.
Police say that a driver was travelling at a very high rate of speed during a police pursuit he lost control of his vehicle, which overturned and caught fire after hitting a tree along the roadway.
Meds transported the driver to an area hospital with serious injuries.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
