STANTON CO., NE – A driver sustained serious injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck along the highway in Stinton County.
The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. just northwest of Pilger on US-275.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of an SUV entered the wrong side of the highway and crashed head-on with an 18-wheeler.
The 18-year-old driver of the SUV went to the hospital in critical condition via an air ambulance after crews worked to extricate them.
The truck driver did not require hospitalization.
