HARRIS CO., TX – A fiery multi-vehicle crash in north Harris County left one person dead and two others injured on Friday.
The incident occurred in the 14500 block of the North Freeway within the northbound lanes, leading to a closure of approximately five hours for investigative purposes.
Police say a man in his 50s, driving with his grandson, collided with the back of another car, causing the second vehicle to catch fire. Witnesses reported that the second car had come to a stop on the highway due to mechanical issues.
The driver of the second vehicle suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Their identity is not mentioned in the report.
