Narrative
MINERAL CO., NV – An elderly man died earlier this month in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi in southeast Mineral County.
The incident happened just before noon on Thursday, June 19th, along NV-360 south of Mina.
Police say that a northbound Kenworth 18-wheeler entered the southbound side of the highway to pass a 2012 Chevy Tahoe. The two vehicles collided when the Tahoe turned left across NV-360.
Medics transported the driver of the Tahoe to an area hospital with serious injuries, while the passenger from the Tahoe died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Edward Wesley Hildreth of California.
Officials arrested the truck charger. Charges have not yet been announced.
