Narrative
LEXINGTON, NC – Three people sustained injuries Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus in central Davidson County.
The incident happened just after 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Arnold Road at Towhee Trail, which is on the north side of Lexington.
Police say that a Nissan rear-ended a school bus while the latter vehicle was stopped on its route to Welcome Elementary School to pick up children.
Medics transported the driver of the Nissan to the hospital with serious injuries. Police charged the driver, identified as Taylor Walker, with failure to reduce speed.
Both the bus driver and one of thirty-two students on the bus sustained non-critical injuries.
